The “Universe Tteokbokki Shop” officially landed in Shanghai! From July 5 to August 10, 2025, the first official Biong Biong Earth Arcade pop-up store in China was held at the L1 Atrium of Hongyi Plaza. Jointly organized by Beast Kingdom and Korean production company Egg is Coming, the venue was designed with bold hot-pink tones and playful illustrations inspired by the show’s iconic elements.

A giant Tulong head installation and a themed photo frame served as the visual centerpieces, drawing visitors into the brightly decorated space. The pop-up store featured multiple zones, including merchandise walls, a themed “pickup counter,” photo spots with show artwork, and installations inspired by the “Identity Washer.” Over 50 exclusive items were available for purchase, such as the large SYAKING Tulong coin bank, plush dolls, collectible figures, double-layer straw tumblers, tote bags, apparel, and stickers. Several items were China-exclusive, attracting fans eager to grab limited-edition goods.

Beyond shopping, the pop-up also offered stamp collection activities, purchase rewards, and social media challenges. Fans could receive special postcards by posting photos or videos on platforms like Xiaohongshu and Douyin, adding an interactive layer to the experience and generating strong online buzz.

The biggest highlight came when producer Park Hyun-yong (Park PD) appeared in person alongside mascots Tulong and Iron Dragon for a fan meet-and-greet session. A large crowd gathered hours in advance, and selected lucky fans got to take photos and receive signed merchandise. The event also featured a short Q&A session where behind-the-scenes stories were shared, creating a lively and memorable atmosphere.

The Shanghai stop successfully combined themed design, exclusive merchandise, interactive activities, and special fan engagement. With its immersive setup and well-planned fan events, the pop-up became one of the most talked-about Korean variety show experiences of the summer.
